Privacy
Privacy, explained plainly.
Effective July 10, 2026. This policy explains the data practices behind FolioLayer accounts, workspaces, proposal links, AI assistance, and subscriptions.
Information we collect
We store account details, quote inputs, client contact fields, proposal copy, approval records, and billing status that you provide or create. We also receive basic security, device, and product-usage events needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to save and sync workspaces, calculate and publish proposals, record buyer decisions, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security, and understand whether core product flows are working.
Concierge pilot submissions
If you request a concierge pilot, we collect the contact details, workflow answers, campaign attribution, and optional quote file you submit. Quote files are stored privately and used only to review or build the requested pilot. Personal contact fields and file contents are not sent to product analytics.
Private proposal links
Published proposal links are unlisted but accessible to anyone who receives the unique URL. They show buyer-facing scope, totals, timing, and approval status—not internal margin, hourly rate, or the approver email. Share links only with intended recipients.
AI-assisted proposal copy
When an eligible user explicitly requests generated copy, FolioLayer sends the project name, client name, service type, total, and deposit amount to OpenAI to produce the draft. Generated text should be reviewed before it is saved or shared.
Service providers
Supabase provides account and database infrastructure, Stripe handles subscription payments, Vercel hosts and measures the application, Resend delivers operational pilot notifications, and OpenAI processes user-requested proposal generation. FolioLayer does not store card numbers.
Retention and deletion
We retain workspace and account records while the account is active and as reasonably needed for security, billing, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Unsuccessful pilot submissions and their uploaded files are marked to expire after 90 days; completed or converted pilots may be retained as part of the service relationship. To request earlier access, correction, export, or deletion, contact us from the account email. Some records may be retained where required by law.
Security and buyer responsibility
We use access controls, row-level database policies, signed billing webhooks, and restricted server credentials to protect the service. No system is perfectly secure. Workspace owners are responsible for accurate client data and for sharing proposal links only with authorized people.
Children and policy updates
FolioLayer is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change; material updates will be reflected by a new effective date.
